Best time to go
October to March is pleasant in both Mysore and Coorg. Mysore is busiest during Dasara, in September or October, when hotel rates rise sharply. Coorg is green and misty in the monsoon, from June to September, but leech-heavy and wet for walks.Pricing this trip for a client? Frequently asked questions
About this Bangalore, Mysore & Coorg template
Should the client stay in Madikeri or a plantation resort?
Madikeri town is convenient and cheaper; a plantation homestay or resort outside town is what most clients picture when they ask for Coorg. For families, a resort with activities on site works best; for couples, a small estate homestay.
Can this itinerary be done in four days?
Yes. Do Mysore in one full day by combining Days 1 and 2, then spend two nights in Coorg. It is a long first day, so start from Bangalore early.
How can it be extended?
Add Ooty or Wayanad after Coorg, or end the trip in Kerala. Another option is a night in Chikmagalur for more coffee country and the Mullayanagiri viewpoint.
