Each hotel change costs roughly half a day in transfers and check-in, so removing one base usually recovers enough time to keep the experience unrushed rather than cramming the same stops into fewer nights.

The standard speedboat crossing takes about 45 minutes each way and can be rough outside the dry season, and Kelingking Beach involves a steep, unshaded climb. For couples who want the scenery without the exertion, substitute a private Nusa Lembongan tour with a glass-bottom boat and beach club, or replace the day entirely with a northern Bali waterfall and hot springs route.
