Turn a DMC or supplier PDF quote into an itinerary
Most custom trips start with a supplier's PDF: “Day 1 arrive Bali, private transfer to hotel, 3 nights at Hotel X.” Upload it and Itiner reads the hotels, transfers and activities onto the right days, then the AI itinerary builder plans the rest of the trip around them.
How supplier quote import works

Upload the quote or paste its text
Use the PDF the DMC sent, or paste the text from an email, Word file or WhatsApp message. Up to about 40,000 characters are read.

Itiner reads the booked services
Hotels, transfers, sightseeing, inclusions and exclusions are extracted with the day each one falls on. Nothing is invented: unclear items are listed for you to resolve.

The days are scaffolded
Imported services are placed on their days, and the trip dates are filled in when the document states them and the trip has none.

After the import, price it with your own margin and send the client up to three quotation options with GST in a live portal. The whole flow sits inside Itiner's travel itinerary software, and it also suits DMCs and tour operators.

How do I turn a DMC PDF quote into an itinerary?
Open a trip in Itiner and choose to import a supplier document. Upload the PDF or paste its text. Itiner reads the hotels, transfers, sightseeing and inclusions the document describes and places them on the correct days. You then review the draft, and AI can fill the remaining free time around the imported services.
What does Itiner extract from a supplier quote?
Hotels with the city, check-in day, number of nights, room type and meal plan; transfers with the day, route and vehicle type; activities and sightseeing by day; the inclusions and exclusions lists; and the start date when the document states it. Anything it cannot place is flagged for you rather than guessed.
Are the supplier's prices copied into the client itinerary?
No. Supplier rates, commissions and payment terms are deliberately not extracted, and lines that look like money are dropped from the inclusions and exclusions. The imported itinerary is client-facing, so your buying prices stay private. You add your own selling price in the quote.
Does it work with scanned PDFs or images?
Not yet. Itiner reads PDFs that contain real text. If a quote is a scanned image, it will ask you to paste the text instead. Pasted text from a Word file, email or WhatsApp message works the same way as a PDF.
Can I edit what was imported?
Yes. The import creates an ordinary editable itinerary. Imported hotels, transfers and activities are treated as facts that AI drafting will not override, and everything remains editable in the day-by-day editor. A travel professional should always check the result against the supplier's document before sending it.
Is the supplier document stored?
The document text is used to build the itinerary and is not stored by Itiner. The resulting itinerary is saved to your trip like any other.
Is this the same as importing a booking from a GDS?
It uses the same pipeline. Itiner can also import a booking from a connected GDS such as Sabre or Travelport. A supplier document is simply another source that feeds the same import: known services are placed first, then AI fills the gaps around them.
