Wetu alternative

A Wetu alternative for DMCs that draft a lot of routes

For a DMC or tour operator the volume is the problem: many similar multi-day routes, each needing a tailored version for an agent or a direct client. Itiner drafts the day-by-day from a brief, keeps your proven routes as reusable structures, and delivers a branded portal or PDF.

Free tier, no credit card. 14-day trial on paid plans.

The problem

Why operators evaluate a change

These friction points come up repeatedly for high-volume operators. They describe workflow strain, not a judgement on any particular platform.

Building each new route version is slow

Even with a route database, tailoring a version for a specific group means manual editing day by day. Itiner drafts that version from the brief so the editing starts from a full plan.

Proven routes live in one person’s head

When the senior planner is out, the quality drops. A shared template library plus seven curated multi-stop routes give every planner the same vetted starting point.

Every market needs its own currency and language

Itiner supports ten country profiles with local currency, timezone and formatting, and outputs itineraries in ten languages, so a route sold into three markets does not need three separate tools.

A failed generation should not mean a blank screen

If an AI draft cannot complete, Itiner drops in the nearest curated route instead of returning an error, so a planner always has something to work from.

What to evaluate

What DMC itinerary software needs to do

These are the criteria that matter for a destination management company, and how Itiner meets each. Test them against any alternative you consider.

Turn a repeat route into a fast tailored version

Duplicate a trip for a new client and it keeps the structure while dropping the previous client’s details. Combined with AI drafting, a standard route becomes a client-specific one in minutes, not hours.

Keep the whole planning team on the same routes

A per-agency template library means every planner drafts from the same vetted set. Save any finished trip as a structure and it is available to the team immediately.

Present in the client’s or agent’s language and currency

Ten country locales and ten output languages. The quote, portal and PDF all follow the trip’s currency and locale, so a route sold across markets stays consistent.

Deliver something the receiving agent can use

One portal link with no login, always current, plus a branded PDF with a cover page, day-by-day and quote section. White-label on Growth and above removes the Itiner mark.

Be honest about what it is not

Itiner has no live inventory, no net-rate or markup-rules engine, no traveller payments and no public API beyond calendar ICS. It is a drafting and presentation layer, not a reservations system.

See a route tailored end to end

The demo covers starting from a curated route, generating a client-specific draft, editing the days, and publishing the portal. It shows how much of a DMC’s per-request work Itiner absorbs.

Frequently asked questions

Before you decide

Straight answers on scope, migration, and pricing, including where other systems and human review still matter.

Can Itiner handle the volume of routes a DMC produces?

The workflow is built for it. Curated routes and your saved templates give planners a proven starting point, AI drafting fills in a client-specific version, and duplicating a trip strips the old client’s details. Trip allowances scale with the plan and reset monthly.

Is Itiner only for the Indian market?

No. Itiner supports ten country profiles, US, GB, AE, IN, AU, CA, SG, DE, FR and ES, each with its own currency, timezone and formatting, and can output itineraries in ten languages. The WhatsApp intake handles Hinglish, but the product is not India-only.

Does Itiner load supplier net rates or apply markup rules?

No. Itiner builds a per-trip quote from block prices with optional total or per-person overrides, plus inclusions, exclusions and terms. It does not hold supplier net rates, apply markup-rule engines, or connect to live inventory. Those stay in your existing systems.

What does Itiner cost?

Itiner has a free tier and paid plans starting at ₹1,500/month, with a founding-member rate and a 14-day trial that needs no card. The Growth plan adds full white-label, team seats and priority support; the Custom plan covers operators who need more.
